Students a $1500 Scholarship
Fishers, IN, May 6, 2009 – The Fishers
Chamber
of Commerce would like to announce the recipients of two $1500 Education Through Experience scholarships; Maria Lunik and Kara Rebholz. Both are seniors at
Fishers
High School
and have accepted admission to a state university.
Lunik will attend
Purdue
University
in the fall with a major in Environmental Science; Law. She is employed by Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub & Restaurant in Fishers.
Kara Rebholz will attend
Indiana
University
in the fall with a major in Elementary Education. She is employed by the Fishers Do It Center.
In an effort to strengthen the business to education connection and encourage students to build community relationships, scholarships were available for
HSE & Fishers
High School
seniors who were employed by a local business or participated in a community organization for a minimum of six months during high school. Awards will be presented to students at the Fishers High School Senior Awards Night. Scholarship funds come from the Flavor of Fishers, and annual event presented by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce.
