Volunteer Opportunities Available for Summer Event

, June 22, 2009 – The 2nd annual Flavor of Fishers, presented by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce and Community Health Network, is searching for individuals interested in serving the community.
Volunteers are needed for the Flavor of Fishers, which is scheduled for August 1 from noon-10 p.m. and will be held on USA Parkway Circle in Fishers. The event will feature “tastes” from local restaurants and music and entertainment to be provided throughout the day by national headliner Hotel California; an Eagles tribute band, local bands 10th of Never and Left of Broadmore, comedian David Fleming and a live animal show by Silly Safaris. Tickets for
the event are available at local businesses, MARSH Supermarkets in Fishers, the Fishers Farmers Market and the Fishers Train Station.
The Chamber is seeking 250 adult and student volunteers for the Flavor of Fishers in areas such as parking, food ticket sales, set up and tear down, ice runner and more. Volunteers will work in three hour shifts with a variety of timeslots available.
Extra incentives for volunteers include free admission to the event and a 2009 Flavor of Fishers
t-shirt. But more importantly they will be a key contributor to the Fishers community.
