FISHERS BUSINESS CENSUS
Chamber & Town Collecting Data to Enhance Competitiveness of Local Business
Fishers, IN, June 9, 2009- The Fishers Chamber of Commerce is conducting the Fishers Business Census to gain business owners’ perspective about operating a business in Fishers. All 1,900 businesses in Fishers will be contacted via electronic survey for their opinions and concerns.
In order to obtain more detailed information, approximately 300 businesses will be visited by Chamber representatives beginning September 1st.
“Fishers business and government leaders recognize the significant impact of business in our community. We want to build upon the strengths that enhance our community’s competitiveness as a great location to do business,” said Christi Wolf, president and CEO of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce.
The survey will be available online at FishersBusinessCensus.com on June 17th and business owners/CEOs will have until July 31 to complete the survey. The information gathered will be strictly scrutinized and shared with business owners during the September business visits.
The aim of the Business Census is to create an outlet for business owners to express their needs and concerns so the Fishers Chamber of Commerce and Town of

can help facilitate a competitive business climate by addressing their needs at the local, state, and federal level. Local business leaders and elected officials hope to maintain Fishers thriving business environment.
